Asia’s coworking enthusiasts to gather in Ubud for ‘unconference’ this week

The who’s who in Asia’s co-working scene (as you could imagine, it’s a pretty niche one) are coming from across the continent to Ubud, Bali this week for an event that’s not quite a conference in the traditional sense.

Hosted by Hubud, Ubud’s own dynamite bamboo coworking space, the first ever Coworking Unconference Asia (CUAsia) will kick off on Thursday and run until Saturday (Wednesday will feature a special half-day just for Indonesian coworking spaces).

Dubbed the “unconference,” the event promises not to be a rigid couple of days spent in hotel reception rooms, but rather a lively time for discussion and idea-sharing amongst start-ups and co-working professionals.

Time will be split between two bamboo constructed spots: Hubud and the Green School.

As a media partner for the event, we’ve got our bags packed for Ubud and we’re looking forward to seeing what all this coworking hype is about.
