Falling durian possibly killed man in west Bali

It may have been a durian that killed a man yesterday in west Bali.

Here’s a traumatizing story for you: a kid was reportedly looking for durian yesterday morning in Jembrana, when he encountered an odor more foul than the usual durian smell.

He reportedly found a body there.

Under the tree in the yard of Ni Luh Artari, 46, the body of Artari’s older brother, I Komang Supandi SH, 49, was identified, reports Tribun Bali

Artari suspects Supandi died because of a falling durian. According to the medical team, there was an injury about of 10 centimeters on the crown of Supandi’s head, and lying beside his body in the yard was a durian.

The durian tree, the suspect in question, is about 40 meters tall, a family member of the victim, Jero Niang, told Tribun.

However, the case is not closed yet. Local police Gede Juli says they are still investigating and don’t want to jump to conclusions.
