Bali dengue cases on the rise in 2015

The dengue cases in Bali this year compared to the same time last year have reportedly quadrupled. 

Dr. Gede Wira, the  Head of Disease Control and Environmental Health (P2PL) Bali Office says we’ve seen a significant spike up of dengue cases in the first quarter of 2015, reports Tribun Bali.

Data from the Bali Provincial Health Office during the last three months indicates that 3,778 cases of Data PHO Bali shows, the number of cases of dengue fever in the first quarter of 2015 reached 3,778 cases.

Last year was reportedly 814 cases of dengue fever at the end of the first quarter. 

Health officials cite the more extreme weather this year as a factor for increased mosquito breeding, reports Tribun
