Sia is continuing to use her Twitter account to protest treatment of Bali’s stray dogs, after reports of street dog culling have been on the rise and a sickening video of a dog being slaughtered has gone viral in Bali.
While she started out with a simple tweet on May 26, just asking her supporters to become familiar with the plight of Bali’s dogs and posting a link to the NGO Bali Dog Adoption and Rehabilitation Centre (BARC), since then she’s been consistently retweeting BARC.
She also tweeted a link to her followers to a petition going around to prosecute the men in the viral video responsible for sadistically beating the dog to death.
And the international superstar’s most recent tweet was an adorable picture of a Bali dog puppy that she says she met last month with a link to a petition organized by the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), urging Bali’s governor to stop the mass killing of the island’s dogs.
