Bali’s airport shut down today for the fourth time in two months thanks to Mt. Raung spewing ash, making for unfavourable flight conditions.
Tribun Bali posted an update this evening that the airport opened back up at 3:30 pm today after it was briefly closed.
But many flights in and out of Bali, especially international ones, remain cancelled.
Travel alerts from Virgin Australia say that all flights to and from Bali today remain canclled, while Jetstar even lists a couple of international flights for tomorrow morning that have already been cancelled.
East Java’s Raung has been one expensive volcano for Bali, reportedly costing Ngurah Rai International Airport Rp 540 million every day that it closes.
