The total count of runners equaled 5,076, according to Tribun Bali, which was broken down into 1,892 women and 3,184 men.

Three events were held at the race with the full marathon of about 42K, a half marathon of about 21K and a 10K race.

Though scores of runners there were just for fun, there were some serious athletes competing too, with the full marathon national category offering a first place prize of Rp 100 million for both women’s and men’s divisions and the full marathon open category offering up Rp 190 million for first place men’s and women’s divisions. The other place prizes were also in the millions too of course.

Kenyan runners reportedly swept both men’s and women’s full marathon open categories, with Mbogo Elijah Mwaniki taking first place in the men’s with an impressive time of 2:17:16 and Elizabeth Chepkanan Rumokol winning the women’s with 2:38:58.
