It was ten years ago today that Bali was tragically hit with a second round of terrorist attacks that brutally claimed the lives of 20 people.

The Australian Consulate-General is inviting the public to leave tributes today and will open up its garden as a spot for private reflection and remembrance from 8 am to 4 pm, according to AAP

The 2005 bombing carried out by three suicide bombers, targeted beachside restaurants along Jimbaran bay and a cafe in Kuta and in addition to killing 20 victims, left more than 100 people injured.

This tragedy came after the first Bali bombing in Kuta in 2002, which took even more casualties, leaving 202 victims in its wake.
