Bali tourism office: Foreign tourist numbers up 7.6 percent

Bali’s provincial tourism office has released data showing that foreign tourist visits were up 7.63 percent this year from January-September, compared to the same period in 2014.

A whopping 2,992,925 foreign tourists were recorded as traveling from Bali by plane or boat during the nine-month period, as opposed to just 2,780,741 people in the same time frame last year.

“The number could reach the government target of four million people for 2015,” said tourism analyst Tjokorda Gde Agung on Saturday, as quoted by Tribun Bali

If that’s the case, don’t expect a reprieve from all the visitors and the resulting crowded beachs and traffic jams in the last couple months of 2015!
