VIDEO: Check out these 2 Balinese women epically carrying 50 kg of offerings atop their heads in the spirt of Kartini Day

Two Balinese women showed some serious strength and will power yesterday in Gianyar for Kartini Day, commemorating the woman widely recognized as “Indonesia’s first feminist.”

In a gesture to preserve their unique Balinese heritage, Ni Wayan Siki, 53, and Gusti Ayu Nyoman Mudiani, 42, both carried a tower of offerings (pajegan) on their heads to Samuantiga Temple for a distance of as much as two kilometers, according to Tribun Bali. And by towers, we mean offerings with fruit, jajan (Balinese cake), and ayam panggang (grilled chicken) weighing as much as 50 kilograms! We’re still confused whether we should be more impressed by the height or weight of these offerings, these women’s ages, or the distance they walked! All around amazing!

The video of these two badass women is quickly getting shared in the spirit of Kartini Day. Gotta love how the pajegan are so tall that they even need people to push the cables in the street up so they can pass through!
