Mayhem at Bali Airport: Terminal gets way crowded as multiple Lion Air flights reportedly delayed during alleged strike

Passengers are rapidly accumulating at Bali’s airport in the domestic terminal.

With nowhere to go and all the seating areas filled, many stranded travelers are just sitting on the floor, local newspaper Tribun Bali observed.

According to a spokesman from Ngurah Rai International Airport, six Lion Air flights have been delayed. The flight numbers have been reported as JT929, JT927, JT741, JT 746, JT 804, and JT 031.

This is allegedly from a Lion Air pilot strike, Tribun reports.

“Data is still being collected. For just the moment, only a few flights. The build up is occurring at Gates 5 and 6,” a spokesman from airport authority Angkasa Pura I told reporters.

Bali is apparently not the only airport with flights delayed. Nine Lion Air flights were reportedly delayed for at least three hours at Juanada International Airport, Sidorjo, East Java, as well.
