A Finnish citizen has been extradited by the Bali High Court to Australia.
Samuel Pekka Juhani Kuuppo allegedly fled to Indoneisa in 2015 after being accused of sexual abuse in Oz, but was arrested by immigration officers in Bali and has been detained here since May 7, 2015 in Kerobokan Prison, according to Tribun Bali.
Kuuppo departed from Bali to Australia at approximately 11:45 am on Wednesday, reports said.
“At the request of the Australian government, we did the extradition. And the arrest itself was done in Bali in 2015. The suspect allegedly committed a crime in Australia,” public prosecutor Abudl Muni told Tribun Bali.
