VIDEO: Bali politician caught fist fighting on CCTV

A video has been circulating of a member of the House of Representatives (DPR) getting physical, as in fist fighting, in Bali.

PDIP politician Arif Wibowo has admitted that, yes, that’s him fighting with a ship crew member in the video.

However, Wibowo says he has no idea who released the footage of his fight and published the YouTube video that was posted on July 25 under the account “Berita Terkini HD Quality.”

“I wonder, who spread the video. What are their interests?”, Wibowo told Tribun Bali on Tuesday in Banyuwangi.

Wibowo said tensions between him and the crew were resolved by Gilimanuk Police on the day of the incident, which he identified as July 16.

At the time, Wibowo says he was with his wife, two children, and one driver. But as Wibowo’s car stopped to park and the doors were already open, the crew ordered Wibowo to keep moving.

“if my son gets pinched or squeezed by something? Then who is responsible,” Wibowo said.

From there, it apparently escalated as Wibowo got out of the car, while he said he was suffering a state of exhaustion and heightened emotions.

However, after the fight got physical, other ship crew intervened and brought the dispute to the police.

“We’ve agree to peace and it’s been forgotten,” he said.

All’s well that ends well, ya kan?
