Denpasar Police have finally managed to uncover the identity of a man who was found dead on Nusa Beach early on Wednesday morning.
The man was identified as a 37-year-old Uzbekistan national who was a guest at the Nusa Dua Grand Hyatt Hotel.
The Uzbek had been in Bali on business, according to Tribun Bali.
After coming back from dinner on Tuesday night in Seminyak with his colleagues, the man apparently told his friend he wanted to go for a swim in the ocean, but no one wanted to join him, Denpasar Water Police Chief Ketut Suparta told Tribun.
When the man didn’t show up for work events the next morning, his colleagues suspected there was a problem.
Police say the man died from drowning.
