New Zealander missing in Bali after trip with Tinder date

A kiwi man never made it back to Perth after taking a trip to Bali with a woman he met on Tinder, his friends say.

The family and friends of 32-year-old Josh Goudswaard, apparently suspect foul play and have been circulating a missing person poster of the man.

Goudswaard, originally from NZ, but now living in Perth, has not been heard from since the morning of Nov. 6, when he messaged friends, saying he was due to catch his flight. The flight was meant to be later that evening, according to a “missing person” post circulating on Facebook.

The young man went to Bali with a woman called “Anita”, who he had met on Tinder. Friends and family say they don’t know the woman’s full name, just “Anita.”

Goudswaard previously told friend he would be trekking in Bali and would be unreachable for a few days, but contacted them again on Nov. 6, saying he would be home later that day.

Immigration has been informed of the man’s disappearance and confirmed that Goudswaard never left the country, according to the Facebook post.
