PHOTO: This is why you should take up kayaking or stand-up paddle boarding in Bali

An image fresh out of north Bali has us reaching for our stand-up paddle boards.

A photo shared on citizen journalist site Info Denpasar shows a flooded city street with a car trudging through top-of-the-tire-high brown water.

The picture was taken in Pancasari, Buleleng which is on the route from Denpasar to Buleleng’s capital city, Singaraja.

This isn’t the first image of Bali’s epic flooding to go viral this year. Heavy downpour inspired a number of similar images earlier this month when Denpasar streets became rivers.

Unfortunately, flooding in Bali’s become the norm when water piles up in torrential downpours, as substandard drainage systems are further blocked up by trash
