South African pedophile denied entry into Bali

Immigration officers at Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport have not allowed a South African national into Bali, because of the man’s alleged sex offender status.

“He was rejected because he’s a pedophile,” directorate general of immigration spokesperson Agung Sampurno wrote in a statement on Tuesday, as quoted by Rima News

The South African came into Bali via Perth, Australia on Sunday around 9:20 pm with Jestar flight JQ 116, according to reports.

The man was sent back to Perth on Monday morning.

The presence of foreign sex offenders in Bali is definitely a sore spot for the island, as an Australian man was found guilty in 2016 for sexually assaulting at least 11 young girls and Indonesia has even passed chemical castration for pedophiles.
