A video produced by a Hamburg videographer is a wonderful ode from a traveler to Bali and its people.
The video, freshly posted to Vimeo, does a lovely job of capturing Bali away from the tourist-filled crowded streets of Kuta and instead starts early in the morning at sunrise, when the island is at its calmest.
“Thank you Bali, thank you for early mornings, the sunsets over a rough sea, and calm fields,” the video begins.
“Thank you for your beauty, your kindness, and tradition,” it continues at another point.
From fishermen to farmers to street vendors and warungs, Lukas Willasch manages to pack in quite a bit into his video that’s under three minutes long.
“At the end of 2016 three friends and I escaped from cold Hamburg for two weeks. Packed with a backpack and a camera, we set out to explore Bali,” Willasch explains in the video’s description on Vimeo.
“We were greeted with remarkable happiness, inconceivable openness and a warm smile. For everything we were able to experience I would like to say thank you.”
