A graphic video of a dog getting brutally beat to death by a group of laughing men is going viral in Bali, after it was shared on Facebook by the non-profit Bali Animal Welfare Association (BAWA).
No idea what violence is about to take place, the dog seems relaxed and even happy in this screencapture from the beginning of the video.
The men tether the poor dog to a pole, who unaware of what’s about to happen is wagging its tail. From there, the 2:12 minute video is unbearably painful to watch, as they strike the dog repeatedly (even after it’s dead) with big sticks, all the while laughing and making jokes.
The video comes at a time when Bali’s dog situation has gotten out of hand. The island recently suffered a rabies vaccine shortage and there’s been a reported rise in dog cullings, apparently as a consquence of the vaccine supply problem.

Within the first hour that the video was posted by BAWA on Facebook, it had 46 shares and almost 400 views.
