Clash breaks out at Kerobokan Prison, ‘problem’ prisoners taken into police custody

Bali’s notorious LP  Kerobokan entered into a state of unrest last night as a clash amongst prisoners broke out. 

Hundreds of Bali Police Mobile Brigade officers were deployed to the prison early on Friday morning to try and still the tense atmosphere, apparently armed with shields, batons, tear gas, rifles, and even a water canon—it’s best not to take any chances when dealing with Kerobokan!

Around 1 am, Denpasar Police reportedly transferred eleven prisoners, who are understood to have been related to the violent outbreak in Kerobokan in December 2015

“We have already secured (the situation) and made it stable. 11 people (defendants) have been returned to Denpasar Police,” said Denpasar Police Chief Made Sudana, as quoted by Tribun Bali
