‘Geisha’ guitarist destined for Kerobokan

Roby Satria, the guitarist for the Indonesian band ‘Geisha’, was reportedly formally arrested on Tuesday after an ongoing investigation process following a drug incident in November 2015 and will be sent to Kerobokan Prison.

Satria made Indonesian headlines in November when police intercepted a package he was having couriered to his hotel in Denpasar. Reports said that the Go-Jek driver transporting the package voiced suspicions to the police, and Satria ultimately confessed to having 1.46 grams of dried marijuana.

Roby is still currently undergoing rehab, as directed by the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and he seems to have been hoping that his rehab would save him from having to check in at the ‘Hotel K.’

“We have already appealed to the prosecution for him to remain in rehab until the end, because he was till following the rehab program,” attorney Butje Karel Bernard told Tribun Bali.
