Perth schoolie needs two stitches after hit in the head with bottle on Kuta party strip

This year’s schoolies sesh just feels like it’s dragging on and on as more and more scandals pop up and people get injured.

The latest comes as a teenage girl from Perth was hit in the head by a glass bottle when she was arriving at the apparent ground zero for schoolie scandals, notorious nightclub, Skygarden.

According to a report by 9 News Perth, a brawl had broken out on the street and girls were trying to break up the fighting. That’s when 18-year-old Kes Hunter was apparently at the wrong place, at the wrong time, as a bottle struck her head.

Hunter’s head reportedly needed two stitches. She believes the bottle was pitched from the club’s terrace because of the force at which it hit her.

But the teen is grateful that two stitches were the extent of her injury.

“It could’ve been a lot worse and it wasn’t on my face, so I’m thankful, at the same time,” she said in front of 9 News cameras.

Hunter used the opportunity to give advice to other schoolies, emphasizing safety in numbers:

“I just advise, stay in a group, stay with your friends, have people around you who can help you, because I was lucky in that case, I had five people who could help me.”
